AXIS Merge

Business Need

When the clubs merged, it was necessary to reconfigure the AAA East Penn website to share the same Axis server as AAA East Central. The website conversion needed to synchronize with the Clubs’ Axis merge.

Challenges

All East Penn membership numbers had to be converted in the web’s database to East Central membership numbers using the conversion table generated by Axis, then merged into the East Central web database. In addition, all East Penn membership records in the AAA Enhanced Server database had to be converted to East Central numbers. Finally Newland introduced regional code into the East Penn site so that Axis recognized it as one of the East Central regions.

Solution

Communication and planning was key to this successful merge. Outstanding communication existed between Newland and all other parties involved; AAA East Central, AAA East Penn, AAA National and Campana. This project also benefited from a thorough understanding of how the membership pages function which allowed rapid diagnosis of unexpected results.
